Things are wild out in the world right now, and like many other companies, we’re scrambling to keep up. Cardsmith is already a virtual tool, so we have no news about sanitation or social distancing guidelines for our office. We already shared our team’s advice on how to work from home and insight on remote team management from five experienced professionals. But we do have another brief COVID-19 related update about how we are supporting our educators, and we need your help.

Supporting our educators and our schools

Cardsmith is offering any and all faculty of public non-profit educational institutions (K-12 schools and public universities) free premium access for educational use.

We know that many teachers have been thrust into a completely different classroom environment, and the ways in which they managed everything, from their lesson planning to coordinating collaborative exercises and teamwork, has changed.

To access the above educational offer, all you have to do is sign up for a free account and then email us with information about where you teach: info@cardsmith.co.

Cardsmith was literally made to solve this problem, and we want to help as much as we can.

We know that you already know the value of Cardsmith

We already know that the members of the extended Cardsmith community know how great our tool is, and we are so grateful for it. We’ve discussed this before (and featured it on our blog many different times), but we are constantly impressed and blown away with how you–our users–all take the tool we made and use it in ways we never anticipated.

It’s because of you that we are even here to help in the first place.

That’s why we are asking for your help in supporting our educators

While we have a handful of educators already using Cardsmith, we know there are more out there who would get a lot out of Cardsmith, and take advantage of this offer. We need your help with finding them.

Here’s what you can do:

online post it notes, digital tools for teaching, online teaching tools, digital teaching tools, remote learning tools, remote learning resources, free tools for teachers, free online tools for teachers, create a lesson plan, free online lesson planning tools, online lesson planning, digital sticky note, online sticky note, online post-it notes

Things are tough, but mutual aid is how we survive.

This is an impossibly hard time, and we are all living through unprecedented challenges. Our global community is looking toward the future with trepidation and anxiety. It can be easy to lose hope.

Mr. Rogers encouraged us all when he said, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”

One of the ways we maintain a sense of hope and connection is to not only look for those helpers, but to become the helpers that are needed. Please join Cardsmith in becoming the helpers that educators need as they transition to tele-education, and put us in touch.

We will get through this together.

Stay healthy,

The Cardsmith Team
